Review: And once again Tim Burton's ego gets in the way as it did with Willy Wonka seriously think he can improve on an age old classic instead of what you refer = to a simple series events of a girl stumble through, ordinary paint by numbers compare well with bad news day: Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Chronicles of Narnia, The Golden Compass. It brings out the magic of books, cutting wit, Topsy Turvy absurd stories so special and a little girl named Alice whose intelligence is beyond the early years. This is not about artistic vision of the directors (who have the artist at all) or restore ambitiousness selfish greed and simple story that went after this project clearly stifling to fatten their pockets. Poor Lewis Carrol rolled grave.
