Review: Lincoln (2012) is very polished, suspended, movie.That does not mean that it is an important film fun. The acting is great, a good film (including color saturation pull in Back to the old look without giving apparently trivial). This is clearly an expert, as we look forward to Steven Spielberg anyone above can, at least in the traditional main sense.But two things that make this movie a must see. One of them included. Its one of the two or three most important things to ever happen in this country - the fight to end slavery during the Civil War. This stuff is so powerful that it will make you cry. It's so good you forget your performance (rather than, for example, the intensity That blood is spread over a work action film). Here it is woven into the fabric of things it is inseparable from the historical truth, somehow. It's really about making a film of this type of transparency magic. Performance.It Amazing seem sacrilege to say this, but the film is not perfect. Because of its material - being the anti-slavery amendment in Congress - it means a lot of talk and a lot of people that you have to follow a lot. I think Spielberg did as best he could do, so there is no criticism, but it does not mean the play physical and even emotional lacking too many movies. I dont mean boring, but that is a conversation. I also found the remains of Spielbergs Frank Capra film making class - and his subjects - a little simple. It binds the loose ends. It makes it all a good package, very well. Maybe too good at what I would call high art. In the good times.I think it is easier to resolve within six months or six years.
